Activa Experience: who we are
Active and cultural tourism in the Ribera de Navarra and Bardenas Reales, with safety, accessibility and sustainability as pillars.
Our Story
2002 · Experience in international routes: Paco Irizar participates in and guides crossings in the Sahara, reaching Dakar in subsequent editions.
2008 · Change of course: from mechanical engineering in automotive and household appliances to tourism management with an innovative and responsible vision.
2011 · Activa Experience is born.
2012 · Acquisition of Queiles Aventura (operating routes since 2007) and consolidation of the 4×4 vehicle line.
2017 · First in Europe to import and approve 6-seater buggies, and first to use them for tourist use.
Today · A leading company in the south of Navarre, with the largest fleet and a catalogue of experiences for individuals, groups, companies and filming locations.
How we work (safety ahead)
- Trained guides, with knowledge in rescue in extreme conditions and first aid.
- Safety protocols before, during, and after each outing
- In-house maintenance in an in-house workshop with official brand technology, supervised by Paco Irizar (mechanical engineer).
- Permits and insurance: Activa Experience is registered in the Tourism Registry of Navarra UETAC0015 and has top-level civil liability and accident insurance, including an unnamed driver
Accessibility and sustainability (house DNA)
From the beginning, we have been committed to unnoticed accessibility and real sustainability. The sister project RuralSuite Hotel Apartments (4★) is an example of this:
- 9 fully equipped apartments adapted for PRM.
- 100% renewable electricity, heating and DHW with olive pits, organic orchard, rainwater pond for irrigation and fauna, organic olive grove with its own EVOO production.
- 25,000 m² of property with more than 500 trees and zero certified emissions.
- Recognitions: National Hospitality Award, World Responsible Tourism Award, Reyno de Navarra Tourism Award, Sin Barreras Award (Chamber of Commerce of Navarra).
Our fleet and equipment
- 15 buggies (including 5 6-seaters and 10 two-seaters) and 5 4×4 vehicles.
- Polaris brand (USA origin): outstanding suspension, automatic, easy and pleasant to drive.
- Doors on all buggies for safety and comfort; Airtight trunks for belongings.
- Own trailers of different sizes to move the fleet and adapt the starting point for events.
What do we do
- Active and cultural tourism: guided buggy and 4×4 routes, hiking, astronomical observation, gastronomic visits, etc.
- Receptive agency (DMC): itinerary design, team building for brands, press trips/FAM trips, integral logistics.
- Activa Productions (audiovisual services): service production in Navarra and especially in Bardenas Reales (locations, permits, support for filming and shootings).
Trust and leadership
We are chosen by major brands for their events, by public institutions for press and familiarization trips, and by TV networks for filming at the destination. We serve hundreds of customers every year with the same priority: your safety and your experience .

Paco Irizar has received several awards and participates in congresses on inclusive and sustainable tourism. He has held and/or holds positions such as:
- Presidency of the Association of Activity Companies of Navarre.
- Presidency of the Wine Tourism Association of Navarre.
- Member of the Navarre Tourism Council.
- Member of the board of directors of the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of Navarra.
- Representative of Navarre in the National Association of Active Tourism and Ecotourism Companies.
